When Nashville Surge Pricing Hits
- Late Friday and Saturday nights on Lower Broadway. Thousands of people leave the honky-tonks around the same time and request rides from the same few blocks.
- After Titans games and stadium concerts. Nissan Stadium holds nearly 70,000 people, and they all leave at once.
- After Predators games and arena shows at Bridgestone Arena, right on Broadway.
- CMA Fest in June. Downtown stays busy all day, not just late at night.
- New Year’s Eve. The downtown Bash ends after midnight with one of the biggest crowds of the year.
- Storms. Demand jumps the moment it starts raining.
How to Pay Less
- Walk off Broadway before you request. Pickups a few blocks away are faster to reach and often priced lower than ones in the middle of the crowd.
- Wait 20–30 minutes. Surge usually drops once the first wave of riders clears out.
- Check both apps. Uber and Lyft price separately, and one is often noticeably cheaper.
- From the airport, compare against $30. The BNA taxi flat fare is your price ceiling to downtown.

Rideshare Pickup at Nashville Venues
- Nissan Stadium: the two closest rideshare zones are on Crutcher Street (south end) and Gay Street (north end), across the Woodland Street Bridge. More than a dozen more zones are on the downtown side of the river. Follow posted signs and staff after the event.
- Bridgestone Arena: Lyft is the Official Rideshare Partner of Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators. The pickup spot can change by event, so check the arena’s event page before you go.
- GEODIS Park: rideshare drop-off and pickup moved to Craighead Street for 2026.
- Ascend Amphitheater: check the venue’s event page for that night’s rideshare location. It’s a short walk from Lower Broadway, so walking a few blocks before you request often beats the post-show crowd.
- BNA: Ground Transportation Center, Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2. Lyft is in Zone A, Uber in Zones B and C.
Uber vs. Lyft in Nashville
Keep both apps on your phone and check both before every ride. They price separately, and the gap can be several dollars on the same trip. Lyft has the edge for Predators games and Bridgestone Arena events as the arena’s official rideshare partner.
When to Skip Rideshare
- Day trips to Franklin or the suburbs. Getting a ride back can take a long time.
- Groups of 5 or more. An XL ride every trip adds up fast compared with a rental car.
- Multi-stop days. Waiting for a new pickup at every stop gets old.
- Early-morning flights from outer neighborhoods. Fewer drivers are working, so schedule your ride the night before.
