Nashville Unscripted · Nashville Airport
Rideshare pickup is further than you think. Short-term parking charges $4 per 20 minutes after the first free window. Here’s exactly where to go after baggage claim.
Nashville International Airport’s Ground Transportation Center handles all ground transportation from a single consolidated facility — but getting there from baggage claim involves a walk that surprises most first-time BNA visitors, especially with ongoing construction through 2027.

The Ground Transportation Center is on the arrivals level (Level 2) of the terminal. After baggage claim, follow Ground Transportation signs — do not exit toward departures. The GTC consolidates rideshare, taxis, hotel shuttles, WeGo bus, and rental car shuttle pickup in one area.
⚠ Construction Note
BNA’s Central Core Enhancement project runs through 2027. Ground transportation pickup locations have shifted. Always follow current posted signage rather than older guides. Check flynashville.com for the current GTC layout before your trip.

Rideshare Pickup at BNA: The Common Mistakes
- Waiting at departures level — rideshare pickup is arrivals only. Waiting at departures means your driver can’t reach you and the trip cancels.
- Requesting the ride before you’re at the pickup zone — during surge periods, drivers time out quickly. Start walking first, request when you’re almost there.
- Requesting too early during surge — if you land during a surge, wait 10–15 minutes at the terminal before requesting. Surge prices are dynamic and often drop quickly.
The Short-Term Parking Trap
Lot A (Short-Term): First 20 minutes free. After that — $4 per 20-minute increment, which quickly adds up to $18/day or more. Designed for quick pickups only, not for waiting.
💡 Use the Free Cell Phone Waiting Lot Instead
The free Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 1415 Murfreesboro Pike has real-time flight information displays and security monitoring. Use it while you wait. When your passenger lands, head to the terminal for pickup. Never sit in Lot A running the meter while you wait.
