The Building: Nashville’s Most Photogenic Restaurant

Before a single taco has been served, Tacos El Terry has already won the exterior game. The building at 111 4th Ave S — a three-story brick structure that last housed Losers Bar & Grill and before that the Swingin’ Doors Saloon — has been painted fire-engine red and fitted with a massive vertical neon TACOS sign in green and red that you can spot from Broadway.

SING BAR is painted in enormous letters down the side of the building. The windows are covered in hand-painted signage advertising the menu. It looks like a restaurant that has always been there and was always supposed to be there — which is exactly right, because that corner of 4th Avenue has been a Nashville nightlife landmark for decades.

This is going to be one of the most photographed spots in downtown Nashville the moment it opens.

The SING BAR painted on the side of the building isn’t decoration — it’s a karaoke bar coming inside Tacos El Terry. Either way it’s going to be packed every night.
