The SongTeller Hotel is Dolly Parton’s self-described love letter to Nashville — developed in partnership with Herschend Family Entertainment, the company behind Dollywood and her DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge. Their 40-year relationship produced the hotel Dolly had always wanted to build in Music City.
The 12-storey building sits at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Commerce Street — between Lower Broadway and 2nd Avenue North — with a guitar-shaped entryway surrounded by bright pink awnings that announces itself from the street. Inside: 245 rooms and suites, two original live music venues, Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum spanning 20,000 square feet, Southern-inspired dining and cocktails, and Dolly’s story woven into every detail.
It is the most personal hotel Dolly Parton ever built — and the one she built in the city she loved most.
The Two Live Music Venues
The SongTeller Hotel features two original Dolly-owned live music venues — the first Dolly Parton venues in Nashville with nightly music:
- Parton’s Live — the larger of the two rooms, hosting nightly live music performances. Full bar and Nashville-inspired cuisine. The main stage experience inside the hotel.
- Jolene’s — a more intimate venue named after Dolly’s most iconic song. Cocktail bar with a smaller, more personal live music setting. The room for when you want to be close to the music.
Both venues are accessible to hotel guests and outside visitors — you don’t need to be staying at the SongTeller to experience the music. This makes the hotel a genuine addition to Nashville’s live music scene, not just a tourist attraction.
