About

We didn’t plan to fall in love with Nashville. We were just passing through.

It was 2021. The world was still strange, the roads were empty, and we were making the long drive from Las Vegas to Washington DC — me, my two kids, and our Border Collie puppy who had very strong opinions about rest stops.
We pulled into Nashville both ways. On the way there, and on the way back.

And somewhere between the music spilling out of open doors and a stranger at a Wells Fargo who — when I asked where the nearest restroom was — didn’t point me down the street. He walked me downstairs personally and showed me where it was.

I know that sounds small. But after years of living in Las Vegas, where everyone is always in a hurry and nobody has time for anything — that moment stopped me cold.

That’s Nashville. Genuinely friendly. Unhurried. Alive with energy but never aggressive about it.
We kept talking about it the whole drive home.

What This Site Is
Nashville Unscripted is a local guide built for people who want more than the surface level. Yes, we cover Broadway. We cover bachelorette weekends and Bridgestone Arena and CMA Fest. But we also cover the parts of Nashville that don’t make the highlight reels — the neighborhoods, the local spots, the practical stuff like where to actually park and how to not overpay for tickets.
We write the guide we wish we’d had.
